Guidelines of Participations Preparation

Presentations guidelines

The presentations are required to be in the format of PowerPoint presentation slides and the following guidelines should be taken in regard when preparing the presentation:

  • To use the forums' presentation templates (download template:Arabic - English)
  • File should be saved in a flash memory (USB) and the presenter should be available with the USB at hand on the presentation day.
  • It is required that the presentation was never presented in any of the university faculties.
  • The presentation should begin with the title of the research, containing the name/s of the participant/s and what faculty she/they are affiliated with.
  • It should contain all important presentation elements such as: the introduction, the problem of the study, its objectives, key areas, and the methodology used in the research, the discussion, the results, the recommendations and the resources.
  • The information should be summarized so that it is focused intensively on covering all aspects of the research.
  • Choose brief titles for the forms and tables - if presented – and it should only contain the necessary information.
  • There should be a clear link between the images and shapes that appear in the presentation and the subject matter.
  • The writings and colors should be clear.
  • A backup file should be prepared on a second flash memory (USB) which could be used in the case of an emergency
  • Time limit - which is 10 minutes - should be kept in mind, the presenter should also be present at the location beforehand, leaving enough time for preparations.
  • All presentation elements (attachments, recorded sounds, images, short videos, logos, etc...) should be saved in one folder.

Poster guidelines

Printed posters should be delivered to the forum event team with accordance to the forum program on the specified times – available at the (Important dates) link –the participants should also be in attendance and next to their posters at the time of the presentation. The following guidelines should be taken into account when preparing the posters:

  • To use the forums' poster templates (download template: Arabic - English)
  • Convert file into a Pdf file.
  • Image and template should be save on a memory flash (USB) and the presenter should be available with the USB at hand on the presentation day.
  • It should contain all important presentation elements such as: the introduction, the problem of the study, its objectives, key areas, and the methodology used in the research, the discussion, the results, the recommendations and the resources.
  • The information should be summarized so that it is focused intensively on covering all aspects of the research.
  • Choose brief titles for the forms and tables.
  • Including the researchers' e-mail is preferred, for those who are interested in the research.
  • Additional copies of the poster in small size are permitted to be presented upon the request of visitors.
  • A backup file should be prepared on a second flash memory (USB) which could be used in the case of an emergency.
  • The presenter should be present at the location beforehand, leaving enough time for preparations.

Video or animation guidelines

  • File should be saved in a flash memory (USB) and the presenter should be available with the USB at hand on the presentation day.
  • Type of file should be an (mp4) or an (avi).
  • It is required that the presentation was never presented in any of the university faculties.
  • The presentation should begin with the title of the research, containing the name/s of the participant/s and what faculty she/they are affiliated with.
  • Writings and colors should be clear.
  • A backup file should be prepared on a second flash memory (USB) which could be used in the case of an emergency.
  • Time limit should be taken into account which is 10 minutes (2-5 minutes to display the content, and 5 minutes for discussion), the presenter should be present at the location beforehand, leaving enough time for preparations.
